Day 1

Tarangire National Park

Your honeymoon adventure begins as you depart from Arusha and journey to Tarangire National Park, a landscape of rolling savannahs dotted with ancient baobab trees. Along the way, you’ll already feel the excitement of leaving the everyday world behind.

On arrival in Tarangire, enjoy your first game drive, spotting elephants wandering in family groups, elegant giraffes, and wildebeest herds grazing under the African sun. Tarangire is quieter than other parks, giving your first safari day a more intimate, exclusive feel – perfect for the start of a honeymoon.

By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at Escarpment Manyara Lodge, perched on the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Here, you’ll enjoy sweeping views across Lake Manyara, a glass of wine at sunset, and a romantic dinner for two under the stars – your first magical evening in Africa.

The rooms are large and luxurious and there are views from the swimming pool, restaurant, some rooms and most public areas. It's an excellent base for visiting Lake Manyara National Park, which lies at the base of the escarpment.

Day 2

Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast with a view, set off for Lake Manyara National Park, a jewel of lush forest, open plains, and shimmering water. The park is home to pink flamingos, playful baboons, and the rare tree-climbing lions. Game drives here feel more intimate, with plenty of surprises around each corner.

In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walking safari. Walking side by side, you’ll discover the smaller treasures of the bush – colorful birds, medicinal plants, and the thrill of being on foot in the wild. It’s a romantic and adventurous way to experience nature together.

As the sun sets, return to the lodge for dinner, before setting off on an exciting night game drive. With only the moon and your spotlight to guide you, the bush comes alive in a completely different way. Hyenas, porcupines, bush babies, and perhaps even leopards may cross your path – an unforgettable honeymoon highlight.

Day 3 & 4

Serengeti National Park

Today you drive through the stunning Ngorongoro Highlands towards the endless plains of the Serengeti National Park. The journey itself is breathtaking – winding roads, scattered Maasai villages, and vast views that stretch to the horizon.

In the afternoon, enjoy your first Serengeti game drive. The sheer scale of the park is awe-inspiring, and it’s a moment you’ll always remember: sitting together, watching zebras and gazelles run across the plains, while lions rest under an acacia tree.

Arrive at Serengeti Tortilis Camp, a romantic tented camp designed with couples in mind. Enjoy a candlelit dinner, followed by drinks by the fire as the sounds of the Serengeti surround you. The privacy of your tent, complete with a comfortable bed and en-suite bathroom, ensures a cozy, romantic night.

On day 4 you have a full day in Serengeti and another night at Tortilis Serengeti.

Early Morning

You'll never want to land as you ride high above the Serengeti in a hot-air balloon. The views of the scenery and the wildlife you can see are extraordinary.

Day 5

Serengeti -> Ngorongoro

After a leisurely morning game drive in the Serengeti, it’s time to journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you’ll pass through dramatic landscapes, from rolling plains to lush highlands. It’s a beautiful drive, full of wildlife encounters that make the hours fly by.

Arrive at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge, perched dramatically on the crater rim. The views from here are breathtaking, with the entire Ngorongoro Crater unfolding below you. This is one of the most romantic settings in Tanzania, perfect for enjoying a sunset cocktail followed by a gourmet dinner with panoramic views.

Day 6

Ngorongoro Crater

This morning, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” Within its walls lies an extraordinary concentration of wildlife: elephants with enormous tusks, prides of lions, hippos wallowing in lakes, flamingos painting the water pink, and perhaps even the rare black rhino.

Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. This day is one of pure wonder, and sharing it together makes it even more special.

By late afternoon, you’ll return to Arusha, carrying with you memories of an unforgettable honeymoon filled with romance, adventure, and the magic of Africa.
