Day 1

Tarangire National Park

Karibu Tanzania! Today our guide will collect you after breakfast from your hotel in or around Arusha to start your safari. He will brief you about the safari, the schedule and what to expect. The drive to Tarangire National Park will take about 2 hours. Enjoy the beautiful views of the local villages and Maasai herds on the way.

If you’ve never been to Tarangire (and even if you have) you’re in for a real treat. Tarangire is filled with giants – baobab trees all across the park, as well as elephants, lots of them. But that’s just the beginning. Of the big cats, you’ll probably see lions, and cheetahs and leopards are around, too. And it’s impossible to miss the wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes and zebras. Our guide will take you off the beaten track and he will share stories about the park and its wildlife, explaning more about the natural world around you.

At lunch time you will head to the picnic site for lunch. As you enjoy your meal, you might spot herds of elephants roaming nearby. The sound of birds singing and the rustling of leaves in the wind will add to the peaceful and serene atmosphere of the moment.

In the afternoon we leave Tarangire behind us and drive towards the beautiful Migombani campsite.

One of the closest camps to the main entrance into Lake Manyara National Park, Migombani Campsite sits on a rise and has fantastic views (including from the swimming pool and open-sided restaurant) out over the lake and beyond. Accommodation is in safari tents and there's a campground. Right in the center of camp is a big old baobab tree.

Day 2

Lake Manyara National Park

Are you ready for the second day of safari? Where the plains of northern Tanzania meet the Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is a wonderful place to spend a safari day. Your highlights for the day might include getting up-close-and-personal with the elephants that made this park famous, lots of baboons, as well as one of few lion populations in Africa that spend much of their time in the trees. Between the forests at the foot of the escarpment and the lake that gives the park its name, enjoy rich birdlife and the chance of seeing predator ambush their prey.

Are you looking for a unique and immersive way to experience the natural beauty of Tanzania's Lake Manyara National Park? Our walking safari is the perfect option for those who want to get up close and personal with the park's incredible wildlife and breathtaking landscapes.

At the end of our day, we'll head back to Migombani campsite. You can relax on the terrace or take a dip in the pool, enjoying the amazing panoramic view.

Day 3

Serengeti National Park

We'll depart after breakfast and head towards Serengeti National Park, where we will arrive around lunch time. The Serengeti is one of the world's most famous wildlife destinations. We'll explore the vast plains in search of the Big Five and other animals like cheetahs, hyenas, and zebras. The Serengeti’s scenery is also unforgettable – observe Africa’s iconic acacia trees, the park’s golden grasslands and great piles of boulders known as kopjes.

As the sun begins to set over the African savannah, it's time to head back to your lodge after a thrilling day of safari adventures. But the experience isn't over yet - the journey back to your lodge can be just as exciting as the game drives themselves. As your vehicle makes its way through the park, you might catch glimpses of wildlife that are more active in the evening hours, such as hyenas or nocturnal birds. The changing colors of the sky and the warm glow of the setting sun add to the magic of the moment.

There are so many reasons why you'll love staying at Nyani Campsite. One is the location, in the center of the Serengeti and with so many wildlife possibilities nearby. Another is the chance that wildlife will wander through camp, which happens often. You'll also appreciate the sense of being surrounded by so much wild country. Facilities include a communal kitchen and bathrooms.

Day 4

Serengeti -> Ngorongoro

Today we wake up early and start the day with a beautiful sunrise game drive. There's something truly magical about experiencing the African wilderness at sunrise, and a sunrise game drive is one of the best ways to do so. The early morning is an incredible time to spot some of the park's most elusive and active wildlife, including lions, leopards, and hyenas. The cooler temperatures and softer light create the perfect conditions for a memorable safari adventure, as you journey through the park's vast savannahs and grasslands. During the morning game drive we slowly head back to the gate where we arrive around lunch time.

In the afternoon, it will be time to head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, one of the most stunning and unique parks in Tanzania. The journey to the park is an adventure in itself, as you traverse winding roads through breathtaking scenery.

Ngorongoro Simba Campsite occupies one of the best locations anywhere around the Ngorongoro Crater rim. It's a simple campsite with excellent crater views, and it's very well positioned for you to be among the first down into the crater at first light. It's also popular with travelers, which makes it a good place to swap safari stories.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater

A game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater is a highlight of any safari adventure in Tanzania. This unique natural wonder is home to an incredible array of wildlife, from herds of grazing antelope to majestic lions and towering elephants.

As you journey through the crater on a game drive, you'll have the chance to spot some of the park's most iconic species, including black rhinoceros, hippos, and wildebeest. Your experienced guide will share insights into the ecology of the region, as well as stories and facts about the fascinating behaviors of the park's many species.

The Ngorongoro Crater is a particularly special location for a game drive due to its enclosed nature. Surrounded by towering walls, the crater forms a natural amphitheater that makes it easy to spot a wide range of wildlife. You'll travel through lush forests and open savannahs, taking in breathtaking views of the crater floor and its many inhabitants.

In the afternoon your guide will drive out of the crater and take you back to Arusha or to the airport. It is time to say goodbye to your guide with whom have you spend some wonderful safari days. You came as a guest but you leave as a friend!
